《藍色星球》是首部全面探討海洋生態與自然歷史的紀錄片，由英國廣播公司BBC與Discovery共同製作，拍攝時間長達五年、足跡遍及全球七大洲；2006年《藍色星球》發展為音樂會形式，讓觀眾在音樂廳中，感受不可思議的深海畫面與現場音樂的震撼，娛樂性、教育性與環保意識兼具的演出獲得國際間廣大的迴響。
《藍色星球》是由英國知名電影配樂大師喬治．芬頓擔綱配樂與指揮，他曾以《甘地》、《危險關係》、《安娜與國王》等配樂作品五度獲提名奧斯卡金像獎，以《藍色星球》贏得艾美獎與英國演藝學院獎。
2010高雄春天藝術節特別邀請到配樂大師喬治．芬頓親自擔任指揮，高雄市交響樂團與台北愛樂合唱團演出，浩瀚驚奇的影像與深刻動人的音樂，絕對會是您一生難忘的體驗。

The world famous documentary series The Blue Planet is a joint production from BBC and the Discovery Channel, featuring awesome soundtrack music composed by composer George Fenton that enhances the scenes with life and characters. The music in The Blue Planet goes so well with the visual presentation that it creates a grand soundscape that’s compelling to audiences around the globe and has won the Emmy and BAFTA awards. Accompanied by scenes projected on giant screen, you will hear the music in live performance with the conductor none other than George Fenton himself! Whilst highly entertaining, this concert is eventually about an important message. By witnessing the wonders of the oceans we can better understand how to protect them. It is a message that we can’t miss or ignore.
